Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

You may cancel your Evidentum account at any time. This policy explains the cancellation process and what happens to your account, data, and balance upon cancellation.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel your account, please contact us with:

  • Your account email address
  • Confirmation that you wish to cancel

We will process your cancellation request within 5 business days.

3. Immediate Effects of Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

  • API keys: All API keys are immediately revoked. Any applications using your keys will stop working.
  • Account access: You will be logged out and unable to access your dashboard.
  • Active sessions: All sessions are terminated.

4. Your Balance

All prepaid balance is non-refundable, including unused credits at the time of account cancellation. Please review our Refund Policy for the limited exceptions (billing errors and unauthorized charges).

5. Your Data

We handle your data according to our Privacy Policy. After cancellation:

5.1 Immediately Deleted

  • API keys and authentication tokens
  • Active sessions and cookies

5.2 Retained for 30 Days

  • Account profile data (email, name) - temporarily retained for operational purposes

5.3 Retained for Legal Compliance

  • Payment records: 7 years (tax and legal requirements)
  • Usage logs: 1 year (audit trail)

5.4 Your Receipts

ATL receipts (cryptographic proofs) you generated are designed to be portable and self-verifying. You should retain copies of any receipts you need, as they will remain valid independently of your account status.

6. Company-Initiated Cancellation

We may cancel your account if you violate our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:

  • Fraudulent activity
  • Abuse of the Service
  • Non-payment of outstanding balances
  • Illegal use of the Service

In such cases, we will notify you via email and your access will be immediately terminated.

7. No Subscription Fees

Evidentum operates on a pay-as-you-go model with no recurring subscription fees. There are no monthly or annual charges to cancel. You only pay for what you use.
